This black-and-white photo series explores the layered creative (un)becomings of academic mothering in anthropology. Inspired by the work of artist Annie Wang, each image remixes earlier portraits to reveal unfolding narratives of personhood. Through collective autoethnography, the series reimagines motherhood’s temporalities as sites of creativity, resistance, and undoing.
